It’s nice to meet you! My name’s Jemimah.

In 2021, I found myself in a season of life where I would cry on my way to work, pick myself up by the boot straps for 9hrs, then cry more on the way home. The inner critic was loud. My head was constant swirling with thoughts no matter how much I tried to distract myself with a favorite TV show, confide in family and friends, or go running. What I remember most though is the dread. The dread lying in bed because I would dream about work or wake up in the middle of the night thinking about work. The dread when my alarm rang because I didn’t want to leave the safety of my bed. I was so anxious and burnt out that I couldn’t recognize myself. Ultimately, I was so scared of losing myself that I left the job. It took being burnt out to finally take care of the parts of myself that had been hurting for a long time.

As a fellow recovering perfectionist, I know how challenging it is when the inner critic is loud. But I also know the relief and freedom that comes when you finally have the perspective and tools to quiet the inner critic. If you find that this voice shows up in and around eating, you’re not alone and it’s not forever.

When my clients talk about food and their relationship with eating, most are surprised at how personal and vulnerable it is—especially when it starts to touch on themes of self-esteem and worth, relationships, anxiety/depression, and trauma. While you’ll find that our work together touches on some long-standing, tender spots, it’s not all daunting. There’s freedom and healing in leaving behind what no longer serves you and envisioning something that better aligns with who you are now. I’ll help you quiet the inner critic, so you can attune to your needs and values, and ultimately live out your authentic well-being and the real you!

This is the essence of coming home for dinner—so you can come home to you.

If you’re not sure what or where home is, I’m already home for dinner and saved a spot for you at my table until you find what and where your home is.
